So world cup began with a good start.  Though Ballack did not play, Germany took Costa Rica (despite the Brazilian coach).  Upset for the Poland-Ecuador game.  I guess the theory of high elevation and worthless defense (especially aerial) was wrong.

England takes the game as expected... though they probably should have scored more.  We'll see if Sewden takes Trinidad and Argentina over Ivory Coast (this should be a good and fast paced game)

Real Madrid loses 3-0 in a friendly against a Japanese team that's in 17th place... so sad.
